A Note on Feature RequestsALIS welcomes product feedback and enhancement requests from clients, and we capture them through several channels. Please note: A conversation with an ALIS team member does not mean that a request has been accepted for development or added to our product roadmap. When an enhancement is selected for formal review, a JIRA ticket is created. Until an ALIS representative can provide a JIRA ticket number with an "In Progress" status, please do not assume a request has entered our formal product process. ![]() In-App MessagingStaff-to-staff communication is now available directly in ALIS. Your teams can coordinate where they already document, without relying on personal texts or outside email. Read more

This feature is available at no additional cost. Contact your Account Manager for enablement. ![]() ![]() New Occupancy BoardAs of our August 26 release, a new Occupancy Board in ALIS Reports → Occupancy and Census Reports, answers "how full are we right now?" in a single glance. A view toggle offers By Unit Status (Occupied, Vacant, Expected Move-Outs, and Reserved) and By Product Type (the same units by product type, set per unit's Room Category in Floor Plan settings). Each card shows the resident name or reservation detail for that bed. Please note: A unit can appear in more than one column. For example, an occupied unit with a scheduled move-out will show under both Occupied and Expected Move-Outs. As a result, counts and percentages may exceed the totals. ![]() ![]() Their Story: A Personal Narrative for each ResidentAs of our September 16 release, every resident profile now includes a Their Story section: a brief narrative of what someone meeting the resident should know. Their Story sits on each resident's profile snapshot. A "Start their story" link opens a pop-up to add the narrative. For residents who came through the CRM, the prospect profile's Story field populates automatically. Staff who can edit resident information can update it at any time with the Edit link. ![]() Expanded Race, Religion, and Contact Type OptionsAs of our September 2 release, three dropdown menus have expanded options. In the resident profile's Basic Information section, the Race menu now has 7 new options and Religion has 8. When adding or editing personal and community contacts, the required Contact Type menu now has 17 new options. ![]() Product Type Filter on State ReportsAs of our September 2 release, a Product Types filter was added to three compliance reports in ALIS Reports → State Reports:
The filter defaults to all product types, so output is unchanged unless you narrow it. ![]() ![]() Medication Orders: Product Expiration and Use By DatesAs of our September 9 release, two new optional date fields are now available on medication orders: a Product Expiration Date (manufacturer expiration) and a Use By Date (pharmacy beyond-use date). Both fields can be set when creating or editing an order in Manage Orders and updated during pharmacy processing. In Pass Meds, each date is color-flagged as it approaches and after it passes so your team always has a clear visual cue. Both dates are also included in the Medication List Report's Excel export. ![]() ![]() Add Dining Incidental Charges from Mealtime AttendanceAs of our September 2 release, staff can add dining incidental charges, such as guest meals or room trays, to a resident directly from Mealtime Attendance. A Billing Item option on each resident row records the charge without needing to leave the page. Charges are dated to the attendance date, billed to the resident's primary payer, and flow through the normal incidental and invoicing process. To use this feature, tag your private-pay dining items with the new "Dining" Item Category in Billing Settings. The Billing Item button only appears for staff who can manage resident billing. ![]() Auto-Generated Invoices TimingAs of our August 26 release, auto-generated invoices are now ready before 8:00 AM ET each morning. The update affects timing only. How invoices are calculated remains unchanged. If a single community encounters an issue during generation, it is skipped cleanly so all others complete without interruption. ![]() Voice Dictation in Send Email ModalAs of our September 2 release, staff can now dictate emails instead of typing them. When sending an email from anywhere in the ALIS CRM, select the microphone icon in the Body field of the Send Email window to get started. Voice dictation requires a supported browser (such as Chrome or Edge) and microphone permission. ![]() ![]() Duplicate Staff Profile PreventionThe recommended way to give a staff member access to multiple communities is still to create their profile once, then associate them to any additional communities from their Staff Profile → Associated Communities tab. As of our September 16 release, ALIS now flags it if that step is missed. ALIS checks for an existing profile with the same name or email. If a match is found, you will be prompted to add the community to that profile instead of creating a duplicate. ![]() ![]() Required Incident Type Reporting LabelsAs of our August 26 release, each incident type now carries a standardized Reporting Label (Falls, Behavioral, Medical, Elopement, Error, Skin, Injury, or Other). In Incident Settings, assigning a label is required when adding or editing an incident type. Existing, custom incident types start unlabeled. Assign a label to each one so your incident data, including dashboards like Incidents per Resident Days, reflects every incident type going forward. ![]() Assessment and Care Level Dashboard: Portfolio ViewsAs of our September 15 release, the Assessment and Care Level Dashboard now opens with portfolio-wide views of product types, care levels, and care packages. Drilling down on these new summary cards shows the distinct counts, percentages, and residents for each care level and care package across the whole portfolio. A new Care Package Assignments section towards the bottom of the report mirrors the care package export in ALIS. ![]() ![]() Integration API Updates for PartnersAs of our September 9 release, the ALIS Integration API added new capabilities for connected partners: an Organization field on the resident contacts endpoint, each staff member's ALIS username on the Staff endpoint, and new endpoints to create staff and manage their community access and login settings. Enabled per integration. Okta Support for Staff ProvisioningAs of our September 9 release, ALIS now supports staff provisioning through Okta, in addition to Microsoft Entra. When staff are created, edited, deactivated, or reactivated in Okta, those changes sync into ALIS automatically, so accounts and access stay current without manual entry. Setup is coordinated per client. Need assistance with an integration or getting access to the ALIS API? Reach out to info@go-alis.com to get started. ![]() New Role-Based ExperiencesNew role-based Experiences give each user a purpose-built home page tailored to how they work. Launching with two new roles: Salesperson and Nurse. Salespeople get pipeline and task widgets while nurses get a shift-based clinical timeline. Both join the already available Caregiver Experience. ![]() Self-Serve Custom Report BuilderThe Custom Report Builder lets permissioned staff build their own reports across resident, medication, billing, prospect, and occupancy data. Finished reports can be saved, exported, or scheduled to send by email. ![]() Want to be an early adopter?Features listed as Coming Soon are currently off by default but available on an opt-in basis.
