Increased Character Limit for End Monitoring Explanation
As of our July 1 release, the optional Explanation field captured when ending resident monitoring (displayed for the end reason "Other") now accepts up to 500 characters.
This increase from the previous 250-character limit provides staff more room to record important context when closing out their monitoring charting.
New Alert for Resident Product Type Changes
As of our July 8 release, a new "Resident product type changed" alert event is now available in Alert Settings → Critical Resident Information Changes alert category.
If this category was previously customized, existing configuration was unaffected and will need to be edited to include this new alert.
Staff can manage how they receive alerts (Daily Digest, Email, Text, Alert Center) via their Staff Profile → Alert & Notification Preferences section.
When a resident's product type is changed in the Basic Information section of their profile, subscribed staff are then notified via their alert preference(s).
Contact your Account Manager for assistance with Alert Settings configuration.
New "About payment methods" Tooltip
As of our July 1 release, an "About payment methods" tooltip now appears in the Payment Methods section of a payer's profile.
Selecting the question mark icon explains the two payment method badges: Default (payer's primary method, one at a time), and Recurring (registered method in the Payment Center, with payments still reviewed and submitted manually by staff).
This enhancement is display-only and does not impact billing data or workflows.
Rent Roll Summary Exports: Show Move-Out History
As of our July 15 release, the Show Move Out History checkbox filter is available in the Rent Roll Summary tab. Accounting teams can now add moved-out residents to the combined export files, bringing them in line with the community-level Rent Roll.
The checkbox affects the exports only; the on-screen Summary grid is unchanged. When checked, each community's exported data lists active residents followed by a separate Move Out History section.
New Migration Workflow for Prospect & Referral Sources
As of our July 1 release, disabling a prospect source or referral source assigned to existing prospects follows a new migration workflow.
When a source is still in use, ALIS shows how many prospects are affected and requires the user to select a replacement source to reassign them to before the original is disabled.
When no prospects are assigned, the source disables on confirmation as before.
Pre-fill Prospect Task Completion Times
As of our July 22 release, when a prospect task is marked complete in the ALIS CRM, the Completion Date and Time are now pre-filled with the current date and time so teams can measure speed-to-lead (the time from inquiry to first completed task) with more confidence.
The date and time stay editable, but are now required every time, so reporting reflects exactly when work actually happened. This update applies everywhere tasks can be completed, including the bulk-complete flow and the record-task-on-email-send flow.
Tasks completed prior to this release keep their original timestamps.
Move Out Workflow: New Fields
As of our July 1 release, the Move Out workflow now captures two optional fields when the move-out reason indicates death: Place of Death Occurred and Was Termination of Services Notice Provided. This allows teams to record details that some states, such as Minnesota, require on discharged/deceased rosters.
The new fields appear only when a death-related move out reason is selected (e.g., Death, Expired). Move Out Reasons can be fully customized in Resident Settings.
Entered values are visible in the Move Out Information section of a Moved Out profile and are cleared automatically if a resident is readmitted.
Contact your Account Manager for assistance with settings configuration.
Sticky "Hide Applicants" Filter in Floor Plan
As of our July 1 release, the "Hide Applicants" checkbox filter in the Floor Plan now stays on as you navigate away and back between tabs and pages.
When checked, the Floor Plan reflects current residents and occupants only, giving community teams a consistent at-a-glance occupancy snapshot.
Full Audit for Room Assignment Changes
As of our July 15 release, room assignment changes are now fully captured in the Resident Profile → Audit History section.
Every assignment change now logs who made it, when, and specific changes. This includes before-and-after dates on edits, effective dates on assignments, move-outs, and transfers (with from/to rooms), and deletions (removed date range and reason).
Faster Access to Company Observation Settings
As of our July 1 release, the Community Settings → General tab now includes a link that jumps straight to the Observation Types section in Company Settings so that portfolio-level settings are easier to locate and manage.
The Observations section appears only for users with security role access to the Company Settings page it links to.
AI Badge Tooltips
As of our July 1 release, new badges across ALIS now include tooltips that clarify the scope of each AI capability.
Hovering over a new badge in the Document Center,ALIS Pay Gateway (Check Scanning), Rx Parser, and Resident Evaluations (Pre-fill Templates) explains exactly what part of the worfklow was AI-assisted.
Integration Update: Reserve Room Without a Start Date
As of our July 8 release, a new app setting allows units pushed into ALIS without a physical move-in or start date to be created as Room Reservations instead of Room Assignments. Previously, these units synced as room assignments dated the day of the push.
When a move-in date is later added and the prospect is re-synced, the reservation is removed and the assignment begins.
This setting is only available for the WelcomeHome integration and can be turned on per company from App Store → WelcomeHome → Outbound Connections section.
