Configure custom templates for any Incident Type to improve documentation consistency. This feature ensures staff capture necessary details efficiently by automatically populating the Incident Summary field with pre-written prompts whenever a templated Incident Type is selected.
Configure Pre-fill Summary Templates
Incident Summary Templates are configured in Incident Settings. Only authorized users have access to these settings. Confirm with your company administrator which option is right for your team.

To create a templated Incident:
Navigate to Settings → Incident.
In the main table, locate an Incident Type and click Manage. You can also click +Add Incident Type at the top right to configure a new one.
In the pane that opens to the right, toggle 'Prefill Incident Summary with Template?' to Yes.
In the textbox that appears, type the specific prompt(s) or text you want to appear automaticallyfor the selected Incident Type.
Scroll down and click the Update Incident Type (or Create Incident Type) to save.
When a staff member goes to record a new incident and selects this specific Incident Type, the text you configured will instantly populate in the Incident Summary field, ready for them to complete:
