When you publish a resident's Care Plan, we expect to see their Care Items ready to be documented in Care Tracking. If the item or items are not showing as expected, read on to see if there are any quick answers to this issue.
Resident is in the Applicant Stage
If the top of the resident's profile shows that they are an Applicant, this means no scheduled items will show for charting.
If the resident is physically moved in at your community, you should click the Move In button to update their occupancy and allow scheduled items to show for charting.
Resident is On Leave (Off Premise)
Look at the same part of the resident's profile at the top to make sure they are On Premise. If this is showing the resident as Off Premise, it means they have been officially marked On Leave from your building, and all scheduled items will not show for charting until they are marked back On Premise.

Published Care Plan
- In the Care Plan area of the resident's profile, you want to make sure that the leftmost tab is showing an Active Plan.
- If it is showing you a Draft Plan, this means that there may be items which have been updated but yet not made active.
- Click Publish to activate the most recent changes to the Care Plan to show in Care Tracking.
Current Shift
If you publish a Care Plan with a new item that is scheduled for the current shift in Care Tracking, this will not display. Care Items will display in the next shift for which they are scheduled when you publish the Care Plan.
Review Care Item schedule and Care List
On the resident's Care Plan, carefully review the shift and Care List for when the item is scheduled. It is possible to add a Care Item without selecting a Care List, and if you neglect to assign it to a Care List, it will never display in Care Tracking.
It is possible to schedule Care Items with no times. These will display in Care Tracking on their assigned Care List as "Anytime during shift". For more information about Care Items with no times, read this article: How to Set Up Hidden Care Times
