For organizations using Single Sign-On (SSO), the Login PIN allows staff to verify their identity quickly without re-entering their full corporate credentials. This guide outlines the steps for managing these PINs, including how staff can change their own PINs and how administrators can reset forgotten PINs for others.
For Staff (Self-Service)
Use this method if you know your current PIN and want to change it.
Navigate to My Account (top of any page in ALIS).
Click the Login & Access tab.
Click the Change PIN button.
Enter your Current PIN, then type your New PIN (twice to confirm). For maximum security, make it memorable, unique, and private to only you.
Click Save.
For Administrators (Reset a Staff's PIN)
Use this method if a staff member has forgotten their PIN.
Go to the Staff Profile and open the Login & Access section.
Click the Change PIN button.
-
Choose one of the following options:
Automatically: Sends a secure, randomly generated PIN to the staff member via email or text.
Manually: Allows you to type a new PIN for them immediately.
-
Click Submit.
Note: It is strongly encouraged that staff update this temporary PIN to something private and memorable immediately after logging in.
