Logging into ALIS is intended to be easy and secure. If you are not able to login, try the following tips:
Verify your Company ID and ALIS URL
- Make sure there is no "www." at the beginning of the alisonline website. Your website URL should look like this: https://companyid.alisonline.com.
- If you reach a page that says "Whoops! That's an unknown community.", the issue is the Company ID. Your administrator should have this information, and if you cannot find it, please contact your ALIS account manager or ALIS Support.
Clear your cache
Clearing your cache may help kick out any bad login information that was entered previously. To clear the cache in Chrome:
- Click on the icon with the three horizontal lines or dots at the top right corner of the Google Chrome browser.
- Go to More Tools > Clear browsing data.
- This takes you to your Chrome Settings and inside of a Clear browsing data pop-up window. Make sure the "Cookies and other site data" option is checked and choose All time in the Time range menu.
- Click "Clear data".
Locked out because of incorrect password attempts
If you enter the wrong password more than eight times, ALIS will automatically disable your login. To re-enable your login, someone with administrator permissions must unlock your login. You can contact ALIS Support to help you do this!
To re-enable your staff's login:
- Go to their Staff Profile in ALIS. You can find this by searching their name in the search bar at the top right, or find their name on the All Staff page.
- Click the Login & Access blue bar to expand it.
- Click the Unlock button toward the middle of the screen.
- Next you need to reset their password so that they will be successful logging in going forward.
- Choose "Automatically" to send them a randomly-generated password to their email or to their phone as a text message. This will require them to reset their own password once they login with the random password.
- Choose "Manually" to create a password for them. You can communicate this password to them directly, or send it via email or text message.
