My Account is the central location for managing your personal ALIS staff profile. Tailor security settings and Alerts to your specific preferences. Use this guide to learn how to update your password, create a digital signature for documents, and configure real-time alerts to stay informed on resident care.
Access My Account
Click on the My Account link at the top of any page in ALIS.
Staff Profile tab
Use this section to update your personal and contact information.
Add Profile Photo
Hover over the blank photo area in the top left.
-
Choose your input method:
Use Camera - Allows you to take a photo of the resident immediately with the camera on your computer, tablet, or other device that you are currently using. When you select the Use Camera option, you likely need to give camera access to your device.
Set Photo - Allows you to upload a photo that is already saved to your device. When you select the Set Photo option, you will need to browse your device for the saved photo.
Click Store & Submit.
Add Mobile Phone and/or Email
It is highly recommended to add your mobile phone and/or email address in the Contact Information section. This assists with password resets and Alerts management.
Set Your Signature
You can digitize your signature here to easily apply it to documents going forward.
Click Create New Signature.
-
Choose your input method:
Draw: Use your computer mouse to sign in the large gray box.
Touchscreen: Use your finger or a stylus on a tablet/mobile device.
Type: Type your name in the smaller box to generate a "handwritten-style" font signature. (This is the most legible and popular option).
Click Store & Submit to automatically save your signature.
Note: This signature is secure because it requires your unique username and password to apply it to any document (e.g., a Compliance form or Incident Report) in ALIS.
Compliance Forms tab
This section lists documents your administrator has assigned to you (e.g., employee handbooks or training acknowledgments). It is also possible this section does not contain any documents for you to complete.
-
On a Compliance form, you have one or both options:
Click Fill Online to open a digitized form.
Click Upload File to upload a PDF from your device.
Save & Close: Saves your progress on a digitized form so you can finish later (click Edit to resume).
Complete: Click this button only when the form is entirely finished and ready for submission.
For more information on completing these compliance items, refer to this Staff Compliance guide.
Login & Access tab
Use this section to view and manage your security settings.
Security Role: This shows the level of access you have to ALIS. It can only be changed by an administrator. For more information, refer to this Security Roles Reference Guide.
-
Login Timeout: Select how long ALIS should keep you logged in while inactive (not clicking or typing). For more information, refer to this ALIS Login Timeout guide.
Tip: If you share a computer (e.g., a nurse's station or kiosk), set this to a shorter time, such as 20 minutes, to prevent unauthorized access.
-
Change Password: Click Change Password to update your credentials. You will need to type your current password first. For more information, refer to this How do I change my password? guide.
Tip: If an administrator or another staff member gave you your current password, it is best practice to change it immediately to something private and unique to you.
Timesheet
If your community uses ALIS for time tracking and attendance, you will also see this tab which displays your punch-in and punch-out history. Depending on your permissions, you may also be able to edit these records to correct mistakes. These details for all staff are visible in Staff Reports > Timesheet Report for administrators to view and export.
Note: Time Tracking is enabled per community in Community Settings. Contact your Account Manager or our ALIS Customer Success Team for enablement assistance.
Preferences
This section allows you to subscribe to Alerts for specific events (e.g., Incidents, Fall Risks).
Click the Manage Alerts Preferences button.
-
A pop-up will appear where you can select what you want to hear about and how you want to be notified:
Daily Digest: A single email sent every morning summarizing the previous day's alerts. (Best for non-urgent tracking).
Real-time Emails: Sent immediately after an event occurs. (Best for urgent items like Incidents).
Real-time Texts: SMS messages sent immediately to your phone.
ALIS Alert Center: Notifications that appear only within the "bell" icon in ALIS.
Click Submit to save your subscriptions.
Note: To see exactly which events are included in a category (e.g., "Charting Alerts"), click the category name in the Alerts tab after you have subscribed to expand the section.
Audit Log
This tab provides a security log of your account activity.
Examples of records shown in the Audit Log:
Login and Logout times.
Completion of compliance items.
Edits made to your profile by administrators.
Punch-in/out records.
