Guide in progress - stay tuned for full details!
CarePredict provides wearable and ambient monitoring devices that alert staff to resident needs and events. When connected to ALIS, caregivers document care in the CarePredict app and it flows automatically into ALIS. Meanwhile, wellness and nurse-call insights appear right on the resident's ALIS profile so care is documented where your team works and reflected automatically in ALIS.
About the CarePredict Integration
CarePredict itself is a system of wearable and ambient monitoring devices that alert staff to resident needs and events. It connects to ALIS in two ways, keeping one up-to-date resident record:
- Wellness & Nurse Call Insights: CarePredict wearables track each resident's activity and call events, and those insights appear on the resident's profile in ALIS.
- Care Documentation: Caregivers record the care they provide in the CarePredict app, which flows into ALIS automatically, eliminating charting the same task twice.
This integration is designed to:
- Display CarePredict activity and nurse-call/alert events on the ALIS resident profile
- Let caregivers document scheduled care in CarePredict and have it flow into ALIS automatically
- Credit completed care to the caregiver who provided it
- Keep CarePredict's task list in step with ALIS care plans
- Capture the time staff spend with each resident
Who benefits most? Care staff and clinical leadership in communities using CarePredict wearables and sensors for care delivery and resident monitoring.
How the Integration Works
Care happens in CarePredict and shows up in ALIS automatically. Care plan changes made in ALIS carry over to CarePredict so caregivers always see the current plan.
| System | System Roles |
|---|---|
|
ALIS manages: The official care record, care plans/care lists, resident and staff records, and the resident profile where CarePredict events and completed care appear. |
|
|
|
CarePredict manages: Wearables and ambient sensors, the in-room/mobile caregiver app, capturing activity and call events, and recording care outcomes and time spent. |
⚠️ ALIS is the system of record, so your team always has one trusted source. Completed care that has already been documented is preserved. Updates from ALIS never erase care already provided.
Data Flow
The data flows bidirectionally. Completed care and events flow from CarePredict to ALIS, and care plan and resident updates flow from ALIS into CarePredict.
| Data Type | Direction | Frequency |
|---|---|---|
| Nurse-call / room events: event type (button press, pendant, sensor), start / acknowledge / end times, staff member name, device type, event note | CarePredict → ALIS | Real-time, when a nurse-call event is closed; appears on ALIS resident profile |
| Recorded care: task completion outcome, actual time taken | CarePredict → ALIS | Real-time, when staff complete a care task |
| Scheduled care tasks | ALIS → CarePredict | Real-time, when a task is due |
| Resident data: name, DOB | ALIS → CarePredict | On planned move-in, auto-configures the CarePredict record (currently in beta) |
Enablement Process
During onboarding, the CarePredict and ALIS teams connect the two systems: residents are matched by name, staff are linked to their ALIS profiles, and access is governed by your existing ALIS care lists. New hires are added as they join.

What to Expect in Your ALIS Environment
- Nurse-call and monitoring events (button press, pendant, sensor) appear on the resident's ALIS profile, including event type, start/acknowledge/end times, the staff member's name, device type, and any event note.
- Completed care tasks documented in CarePredict are charted back into ALIS with the outcome and actual time taken, credited to the caregiver's ALIS profile.
- Care plan changes you publish in ALIS flow to CarePredict and refresh that resident's task list.
How Caregivers Experience the Integration
CarePredict guides care in the moment, then updates ALIS automatically:
- Tasks appear automatically. When a caregiver enters a resident's room, that resident's scheduled tasks appear on their device.
- Prompted to document. On the way out, the caregiver is prompted to record the outcome while it's still fresh.
- Time with residents captured. CarePredict captures the time staff spend with each resident, adding insight manual charting cannot.
Matching Residents
Residents are recognized across both systems with little manual work:
- Recognized automatically. Residents are matched between ALIS and CarePredict by name.
- Move events carry over. Move-ins, move-outs, and leaves flow across so the resident list stays current.
- Quick to confirm. In the rare case a match needs confirming, it's a simple step, and earlier activity links up once matched.
Crediting the Right Caregiver
Every documented task is tied to the staff member who provided the care:
- Linked to your ALIS staff. Care is credited to the caregiver's matching ALIS profile, keeping accountability clear.
- Connected at setup. Staff are linked between the systems during onboarding, and new hires are added as they join.
- You control access. Using your existing ALIS care lists, you decide which staff can complete which tasks.
Keeping Care Plans Updated
- Plans refresh automatically. Publish a care plan update in ALIS and CarePredict refreshes that resident's tasks.
- Completed care is preserved. Anything already documented stays documented; updates never erase care already given.
Ongoing Maintenance
- Keep ALIS care plans and care lists current; they drive which tasks appear in CarePredict and who can complete them. See these How to Add or Review a Care Plan and Care Settings guides.
- Add new staff in ALIS so they can be linked and credited in CarePredict. See the How to add a new Staff Profile guide.
- Confirm any resident match that's flagged during onboarding or after a move-in.
Troubleshooting
Issue: A resident's CarePredict activity isn't appearing in ALIS.
- Likely Cause: The resident isn't yet matched between the two systems.
- Resolution: Confirm the resident match (a simple step). Once matched, earlier activity links up.
Issue: Completed care isn't credited to the right caregiver.
- Likely Cause: The staff member isn't linked to their ALIS profile.
- Resolution: Ensure the caregiver exists in ALIS and is linked during onboarding (new hires are added as they join).
Issue: A scheduled task isn't showing in the CarePredict app.
- Likely Cause: The care plan/care list in ALIS doesn't include the task, or the caregiver isn't permitted to complete it.
- Resolution: Confirm the task is on the resident's current ALIS care plan and that the staff member's care-list access allows it.
FAQs
Is the integration one-way or two-way?
Two-way (bidirectional) and live. Completed care/events flow to ALIS; care plan and resident updates flow to CarePredict.
Which system is the source of truth for care?
ALIS. It holds the official care record; CarePredict reflects and contributes to it.
Do caregivers have to chart twice?
No. Care recorded in CarePredict flows into ALIS automatically.
How are residents matched?
Automatically by name behind the scenes; a simple confirmation step is used in the rare case a match needs review.
Best Practices
- Keep ALIS care plans and care lists accurate; they drive the CarePredict task list and staff permissions.
- Add and link new staff in ALIS promptly so their care is credited correctly.
- Confirm flagged resident matches quickly so monitoring and care history stay connected.
- Manage the official care record in ALIS; let CarePredict capture documentation in the moment.
