Customizable Meal Plans support dining operations by allowing communities to define meal plan options and assign them to residents. This information is visible during attendance tracking and in dietary reporting.

To configure Meal Plan options:
- Navigate to Settings > Resident.
- Locate the Meal Plan settings grid.
- Click +Add New.
- In the pane that opens, enter the Name.
- Click Save.
Use Copy Selected or Copy All to apply the configuration to other community environments.
Assign Meal Plans to Residents
Meal Plans are assigned within each resident’s Health Profile.
To assign a Meal Plan:
- Open the Resident Profile.
- Go to the Health Profile section.
- Select a Meal Plan from the available options.
- Scroll to the bottom of the section and click Update.
Meal Plans in Mealtime Attendance
Mealtime Attendance is a specialty feature that staff can use to record meal participation for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner based on defined timeframes.
When a Meal Plan is assigned in the resident’s Health Profile, it displays alongside the resident’s name during attendance recording. This provides real-time visibility into each resident’s dining plan while taking attendance and supports staff in identifying residents with specific meal arrangements during service.
This feature must be enabled by the ALIS team. Meal Times can then be configured in Resident Settings. To enable Mealtime Attendance, contact your Account Manager or the ALIS Customer Success Team.
Meal Plans in Resident Diet Roster Report
The Resident Diet Roster Report provides a comprehensive overview of each resident’s dietary information, including Meal Plans.
To access the report:
- Navigate to Reports > Resident.
- Locate the Resident Diet Roster.
Meal Plan data appears as a dedicated column alongside other dietary details such as allergies, diet type, and preferences. This information is included in both on-screen views and exported formats (Excel and PDF).
