In ALIS Care Tracking, Care Items within a Care List, or assignment, display in the order of scheduled time by default. You can set a different priority order of how the items need to be completed for each Care List.
Why Prioritize Care Items?
There are a couple of reasons you may want to prioritize Care Items to appear in a specific order once in Care Tracking:
- You have scheduled times hidden/turned off, so the items are all displaying in the Care List in an arbitrary order.
- You have multiple Care Items scheduled for the exact same time within the Care List.
Prioritize Items
To manually set the priority, use the Care dropdown menu at the top of your ALIS page and click Care Lists. This takes you to the Care Lists page.
- For the Care List you want to update, click the Prioritize Items button.
- This takes you to the specific page for that Care List where you can then rearrange the order of how items should appear in Care Tracking.
-
-
Drag and drop the Care Items to set the priority order. As you drag and drop different items, they will immediately update the order of how the care items appear on the Care Tracking page and reflect the order you have set on this page.
- Click the View Plan button on a resident's Care Item to download a PDF of a resident's active Care Plan.
- Click the Go to Plan button on a resident's Care Item to navigate to the Care Plan section of that resident's profile. This option is commonly used if you need to make any edits to the Care Plan.
-
Drag and drop the Care Items to set the priority order. As you drag and drop different items, they will immediately update the order of how the care items appear on the Care Tracking page and reflect the order you have set on this page.
-
- To view the full list once you have rearranged the items, click the View List PDF button at the top of the page.
- If you need to reset back to the original order of items after they have been rearranged on this list, select the Reset Priority button.
Move Care Items to a Different Care List
If you notice that any resident's Care Items appear in an incorrect Care List, you have the option to move an item or multiple items to a different Care List from this page. You can also refer to this Move Care Items to a different Care List guide for more details on moving Care Items.
- Select Care Items using the checkboxes on the left hand side.
- Click the Move Care Items button.
- In the pane that opens to the right, select the Target Care Program (most likely you can leave this as 'Care' unless you are utilizing other Care Programs, such as Housekeeping, etc.) and Target Care List.
- Click Save to move the items accordingly.
