How to record a PRN Vital

This guide outlines the steps for recording a single, unscheduled (PRN) vital entry in ALIS. Accessed directly from the Dashboard or the Scheduled Vitals page, this tool allows you to quickly capture individual vital signs.

Record Single (PRN) Vital

Use this method to quickly record a single, unscheduled vital check for one resident directly from the Dashboard.

1. Select the Record Single Vital icon on the dashboard (this is also accessible in Scheduled Vitals).

2. In the pop-up that appears, select the Resident and the specific Vital Type you wish to record.

3. Once the vital type is selected, the window will expand. Enter the Vital Value, Date, Time, and any Notes.

4. (Optional): If you need to record more vitals immediately after this one, check the box for Record Another PRN Vital next to the submit button.

5. Click Submit to save the record.
