Ensure essential documentation is not missed with this feature. With required fields on Compliance Documents, you can prevent form completion if there are incomplete required fields. This feature applies to Resident, Staff, and Community compliance.
Enable Required Form Fields
This feature is behind an entitlement and requires an ALIS team member to enable. We must also digitize your forms in a particular format for proper functioning.
Form fields customization includes:
- Require entry of information for any text box on your PDF form template.
- Set date or numeric fields to allow only specific formatting or numeric characters.

Complete Compliance forms with required fields
The required fields validation allows you to save incomplete forms while still in progress. However, it prevents the completion of the form until all required form fields have been entered.
This article overviews completion of Resident compliance, however this feature is available for Resident, Staff (My Account), and Community compliance items.
Resident Compliance form validation
To complete compliance fillable forms for Residents, navigate to the Compliance Summary Section of a Resident profile.
- Identify the form you wish to complete, and click the Fill Online button > New Form.
- This opens a PDF document which states the number of remaining "errors" or required fields that still need text entered before marking the form "Complete". The required fields are highlighted in red and accompanied by red alert messages.
- To save an in-progress form, even if it is missing information in required fields, click Save. You can also then click Close to exit the document.
- In the Compliance Documents section, the form will show as containing "errors" and in-progress. You can navigate away from this page and return to the in-progress form to complete at any point.
- Click the Edit button to open the form again and fill in the remaining required fields.
- Once all required fields have been entered, click Save and Close again. In the Compliance Documents section, you now have the option to click the Complete button.
