ALIS Go is an offline-capable Med Pass solution. It ensures that clinical staff can continue to pass medications and record vitals accurately, even during total internet outages or periods of extreme connectivity instability.
About using ALIS Go
ALIS Go can be utilized in two different ways to ensure your med pass remains uninterrupted.
Emergency Preparedness: A preventative tool for communities in areas prone to severe weather or infrastructure-related outages.
Unstable Connectivity: A permanent Med Pass environment for communities where consistent high-speed internet is not yet available.
Important Interface Change: When ALIS Go is enabled for a community, it fully replaces the standard Pass Meds interface. If staff click the Pass Meds button in ALIS, they will be automatically redirected to the ALIS Go environment. This ensures a consistent user experience regardless of current internet stability.
How to enable ALIS Go
ALIS Go is behind an entitlement and must be turned on by the ALIS team. For assistance, contact your Account Manager or our ALIS Customer Success Team.
Once the entitlement is turned on, you must enable it for specific communities:
- Navigate to Settings > Company.
- Scroll down to the ALIS Go section.
- Identify the community you wish to enable for, and click Enable.
- In the righthand pane that appears, select the Alis Go Med Pass Enabled checkbox and click Submit.
How to access ALIS Go
To access the ALIS Go environment, type go.alisonline.com into your web browser. Enter your usual username and password, and click Log In.
- Tip: Since ALIS Go is designed for use when the internet is down, we recommend bookmarking the URL on all Med Cart tablets and laptops while you still have a connection.
ALIS Go Pass Meds experience
ALIS Go provides approximately 90% of the same user experience as the standard Pass Meds module.
Staff are able to:
View scheduled medications and dosages.
Record successful administrations, refusals, or held meds.
Record Vitals: Enter blood pressure, pulse, and other vitals directly within the Med Pass flow.
- Is ALIS Go the same as the regular ALIS portal? No. ALIS Go is strictly for Pass Meds and Vitals. To update resident profiles, assessments, or care plans, you must use the standard ALIS portal once your connection is restored.
- Can I request order refills in ALIS Go? No. If you need to request a refill while using ALIS Go for Pass Meds, a staff member with appropriate access would need to do so on a resident's Manage Orders page.
- If I am not using ALIS Go as my full Pass Meds experience and only utilizing it in the event of internet outages, will my eMAR data be synced and visible in ALIS? Yes! Once the device regains a stable internet connection, ALIS Go will automatically sync the offline data. This ensures your permanent eMAR records remain complete and compliant without manual double-entry.
- What other offline eMAR options do I have for internet downtime? If ALIS Go is not enabled, your primary backup is the Offline eMAR (Paper Backup). We recommend regularly downloading and printing the "Offline eMAR" PDF to ensure you have a physical backup in case of prolonged hardware or power failure.
