This report can be used by clinical leadership to audit any manual changes staff are making to a resident's order details. This is especially useful for coordinating with your pharmacy if your community has a pharmacy integration.
-
It is important to review updates that manually occurred and communicate these details to the pharmacy team.
-
You can choose to print a PDF of the report or export it to Excel. We can also email this report directly to the pharmacy team directly from ALIS.
Send Med Changes Emails to Pharmacy Staff
To set up the recurring emails for pharmacy staff, we must add the pharmacy staff email addresses to the existing integration in Pharmacy Settings. If you do not have access to these settings, contact your Account Manager or our ALIS Customer Success Team to add them.
If you have access, follow these steps to add the emails:
- In Settings >Pharmacy, there is a list of all pharmacy integrations for your company or community.
- Click Options >Edit for the pharmacy connection associated with your community.
-
- This opens a pane from the right to edit settings. Scroll toward the bottom of this pane to Daily Med Change Emails.
-
- Toggle to Yes, and then type or paste your pharmacy staff's email address in the box. If there are multiple email addresses, they each must be separated by comma.
- The email recipients also must be able to log into ALIS in order to see the details of the medication changes. The email will not contain any resident or order details. Make sure you create each person as a staff member in ALIS.
- Scroll to the bottom of the pane and click Save Connection to complete the setup. Going forward, the email recipients saved will receive one email in the morning each day that includes event types captured in the Medication Change Report.
Daily Email
Recipients receive the daily email in their inbox. The body of the email does not contain critical information. The email will provide the number of changes that have occurred and have a link to access the report by logging into ALIS.
