The state of New York has two reports that are required for managing resident census information.
In ALIS, these reports are called:
-
Daily Census Report - DSS 2900
-
Chronological Admission and Discharge Register - DSS 3026
Both reports are accessible within your ALIS reports tab at the top right of your dashboard. They will show up at the bottom under Care Reports.
**Always enter a classification for every resident, before moving them into ALIS. This classification dropdown can be found in the resident profile "basic information" blue bar.**
Daily Census Report - DSS2900 Overview
- This report reflects when the resident was in the building or on leave throughout the selected month.
- The Level of Care column will pull in the classification entered for the resident in their "basic information" blue bar of their profile.
- The H, V, M, and O reasons for leave will show up in the report, based on what is selected for the "leave destination", when scheduling a resident's leave. This letter will show for every day of that resident's leave.
- The "x" indicates the resident is on premise.
- A dash "-" indicates the resident is moved out (not on premise or on leave).
- Days of care indicates how many full days the resident was at the community for the selected month. If a resident is moved out of ALIS before 11:59pm on a given day, that day will not be counted toward the days of care.
- Be sure to let your onboarder know your building's operating certificate number. We will enter this in the "license number" of your community information to pull through to the report.
- AFC capacity is your licensed physical capacity.
Chronological Admission and Discharge Register - DSS3026 Overview
- This report reflects if a resident is admitted (moves into the community) or discharged (moves out of the community) throughout the selected month.
-
- The LOC column will pull in the the classification entered for the resident in their "basic information" blue bar of their profile.
- The Admission Codes:
- Will pull in for a resident under the "admitted from" column, when they are moved into ALIS. The number that pulls through is based on what is selected in the "moving in from" drop down of the "move in and community info" blue bar of their resident profile.
- Will pull in for a resident under the "discharged to" when they are moved out of ALIS. The number is based on what is selected in the "move out destination" dropdown when moving out the resident.
- Be sure to let your onboarder know your building's operating certificate number. We will enter this in the "license number" of your community information to pull through to the report.
