Automatically download your community’s MARs to a local computer using ShareFile, allowing staff to access recent MAR documents even during an internet outage.
eMAR Offline Downloads (Using ShareFile)
We can enable automatic offline downloads of your Community MARs using ShareFile.
In the event of an internet outage, this setup provides an alternative way to access your MAR documents that were recently downloaded to a computer at your building. These downloads occur automatically once the feature begins generating files.
To enable this, first you must contact your Account Manager or the ALIS Customer Success Team so they can activate Offline MAR Downloads for your community.
Once the feature is enabled, you will be able to install the ShareFile application on your computer to automatically download MAR files. You can also use the same credentials to access the MAR files through the ShareFile website from any device and location.
Setting Up Automatic Downloads on Your Computer
Once the ALIS team has enabled the feature, follow these steps to access your folder and configure automatic downloads on your building’s computer:
- Navigate to Settings > Community in ALIS.
- Scroll to find the section Offline File Download Information.
- Either click the Client portal link, OR
- Click the appropriate icon for your computer where it says Download offline files app (Windows or Apple). This will prompt you to download and launch the ShareFile application.
Subdomain Prompt
- When asked for the Subdomain, enter: medtelligent
- Click Continue.
Login Prompt
- Enter the Username and Password listed in the Community Settings page in ALIS.
Once setup is complete, you will see a short tutorial and gain access to the folder that will contain your MAR downloads.
Be sure to take note of where the ShareFile folder is located on your device.
⚠️Important:
- A single test file is generated immediately after setup. Then, it may take up to 72 hours for the daily file generation to begin.
- After the first 72 hours, MAR documents will generate automatically once per day, typically on the hour.
- Files are automatically deleted after 10 days to ensure storage remains limited and files stay current.
Accessing MARs through the ShareFile Website
You can also access MAR files using a web browser if needed.
Because these credentials are stored in ALIS, it is recommended to keep a copy of them in a secure location in case ALIS is temporarily unavailable. If you lose these details, contact the ALIS Customer Success Team.
Go to the ShareFile portal: https://medtelligent.sharefile.com
Enter the Username (Email) and Password from Community Settings.
Click Sign In. After signing in, you will see folders containing recent MAR documents for each community you have access to.
