Treatments are scheduled, non-drug orders that show on Pass Meds for staff to document. Some examples of treatments are vitals checks, oxygen orders, and wound care.
The main difference between routine medications and treatment orders is that treatments do not have Routes and Doses.
To add treatments for your residents, follow these steps:
- Access your resident's Manage Orders page.
- Either using the left navigation to jump to the Treatments section, or scrolling down past PRNs, find the Treatments section and click +Add Treatment.
- In the Treatment Information section, type the name and instructions for the treatment.
- If it is a vitals check, remember to click Yes for the Check Vitals option and select the vital you want to track.
- If it is a vitals check, remember to click Yes for the Check Vitals option and select the vital you want to track.
- In the Scheduling section, add the Start Date, Interval, and Times you would like the treatment to display in Pass Meds.
- Scroll to the bottom right and click Create Order.
